Following apprenticeships in Paris, France and Oxford, England, Lark began her career photographing cars for British Leyland/Austin Rover. Since that time, assignments for magazines and book publishers, architects, advertising firms, large corporations, and manufacturing clients have taken her around the world. She has been published by most major book and magazine publishers in the US and abroad, including Phaidon Press, Taunton, and magazines such as Traditional Home, Better Homes and Gardens, Architectural Digest, Natural Home, Country Home, and House and Garden. Today, Lark's client profile remains varied, yet now emphasizes the subjects she most enjoys shooting - architecture, interiors, food, still-life and photo illustration.

Her personal work gained notoriety in England during the annual Artweek based in Oxford and won "Best of Show" in 1986.  Her life-size black and white prints were based on a series of tableaux from the eye of a voyeur.  She constructs set pieces in perspective, with a keen eye for spatial relationships and then adds people to the mix.  They are stunning, evocative, works full of passion and exhibit a raw talent for the living still life.
