The Madisonian is pleased to announce this year's Summer Special edition, see the attached flyer with the new information. About the Madisonian The first issue of The Madisonian appeared November 15, 1873 in Virginia City. The founder and editor of The Madisonian was Thomas Deyarmon. The paper was considered the official paper of Madison, Beaverhead and Jefferson Counties. The Madisonian printed the news and navigated the mine fields of Montana’s most turbulent times from before Territory until long after Statehood, to today. The Madisonian has published every week since its first issue. The Madisonian celebrated its 130th Anniversary in 2003. The Madisonian serves The Madison Valley, Ruby Valley and surrounding areas. The Madisonian welcomes and provides news items, events and stories of people relating to this historical cradle of Montana. Key Facts • 2,500+ weekly publication runs • Distributed and mailed weekly, every Wednesday • Chamber of Commerce and key tourist locations Distribution The Madisonian distributes 2,200 newspapers weekly. Mail distribution accounts for 60 % of the newspapers distributed. The remainder of the papers is available at newsstands and various retail establishments throughout Madison County. Feature Sections
