Madison County Volunteer Search and Rescue

Ruby Valley Unit

Medical background a plus or training will be provided.  Meetings on the 1st Thursday of each month and monthly training one day of a weekend. Do you have a four wheeler to lend or donate? Do you have a skill such as rock climbing, knowledge of the country in Madison County, business experience such as accounting, lawyer, Doctor, EMT, etc.? New Hope Pregnancy Support Center

A life-affirming ministry dedicated to serving women, men and their families as they face unplanned pregnancies. Material support, parenting classes and much more. Many service opportunities available.

Ruby Valley Ambulance

Volunteers need to have EMT basic training. Patient confidentially a must. Other services you could offer include such things as carpet cleaning, tax services, etc. Donations and Memorials welcome as well as fresh baked cookies.

Ruby Valley Food Bank

Ruby Valley Food Pantry Assistance with food items for families in the Ruby Valley.

Donate food, financial support or help distribute items on Saturdays, stock shelves, etc.

Sheridan Public Library

Deliver borrowed books to libraries in neighboring towns.

Friends of the Library meet every second Tuesday of the month.

Sheridan Service Center for Senior Citizens

Help is needed for the elderly such as mowing lawns, shoveling snow, taking out the garbage, meals on the weekends, etc. Just a visit would be very appreciated since many spend most days alone.

Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department

Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. Volunteers receive training needed (at no cost to the volunteer) and will be issued all gear needed including a pager to be notified when needed to respond to a fire or another emergency.

Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center

Be a companion for the elderly. Read the news paper or books, play games, visit, go for walks, do crafts, listen, and many other things.

Town of Sheridan
