Skiing Near Sheridan Montana

Sheridan has a ski resort? No – but we are closer to some of the best skiing in Montana than most big cities. With Maverick Mountain offering pristine powder just around the corner, Big Sky and Moonlight Basin a day trip away, and the Tobacco Roots for back country skiing, you can still experience world class recreational opportunities.

Back Country Skiing – there are lots of back country skiing experiences to be found in the Tobacco Roots. Whether you are a cross country skiing enthusiast or a hard core downhill skier it’s hard to miss if you know what you are doing.

If you know what you are doing, back country skiing can be some of the best skiing available. But beware of Back country skiing dangers. Carry the right equipment and make sure you know what the conditions are before you go.
