   ABOUT SHERIDAN MONTANA
Downtown Sheridan, Montana
Downtown Sheridan, Montana
Sheridan is known as the “heart of the Ruby Valley” and for good reason.  Five majestic mountain ranges surround this beautiful community providing a spectacular view in any direction and easy access to the national forests.   The Ruby River winds through the valley just west of the town providing excellent fishing & hunting for the sportsman or a relaxed atmosphere for people who just like to take it all in.

For the water recreation enthusiasts, there is the Ruby Reservoir just 20 miles south of town.  You can also travel short distances in any direction and find a place to ski, hunt, fish, swim, enjoy the old west history  or just relax. The town of Sheridan also provides many services for such a beautiful little town.

With only a population of a little over 700 people, the town provides services such as a hospital, library, emergency response unit, pool, several parks, nursing home and most recently a “hot zone” for wireless internet for the traveler that has been on the road for a long time and is looking for a place to stop and catch up on news or family or even conduct business. So, no matter what you are looking for, whether it is relaxation, recreation, a place to get away from it all or work & settle down, Sheridan welcomes you with open arms.  Chris Mumme - former Mayor of Sheridan

From a visitor to our web site! Thanks.

"To Sheridan's visionaries,

All right!  I'm so impressed that Sheridan has, not only a web site, but free Wi-Fi access down main.

I've been to Sheridan, only once, with a good friend, who spent some time there growing up. Yet, that one visit made quite impression on me. I've been to three out of the four corners on the globe, but Sheridan will always remain one the most memorable.

Sheridan may be small in comparison but it's large in landscape and ken, inside and out.

Well done!

Sterling "
